Plant it, Grow it, Eat it

If you've ever wanted to grow your own food, now is your chance to get involved.

The Plant it Grow it Eat it project helps tenants and residents to develop community gardens where neighbours come together to grow their own fruit and vegetables. They can also get tips for making healthy meals with the food they grow at cook and eat sessions.

There are lots of benefits of getting involved in the project - you'll feel better from being more active and eating more healthily; you’ll save money on food bills; and if you've never done this kind of thing before, you'll learn new skills that could help if you're looking for work. Besides all that, it's a great way to meet new people and be part of your community!

There are growing sites across Kirklees, so get in touch to find out more. You can also follow the project on Plant it grow it eat it Facebook
